Manufacturing Summary

This order covered the production of 50 single-sided FR4 PCBs fabricated on TG130 laminate with a finished thickness of 1.6 mm and 1 oz copper. The boards were distinguished by their selective soldermask configuration—green on the top side only, with no soldermask applied to the bottom—and the inclusion of countersunk holes together with a precision routing requirement for the board outline. All pieces maintained a board size tolerance of ±0.13 mm, received an ENIG surface finish, and underwent 100% AOI inspection before shipment as individual units.

During engineering file review, two DFM clarifications were required. The ordering system specified precision routing, a process that depends on stable and accurate fixturing references; however, the initial design did not include suitable positioning holes. In addition, while countersunk hole positions and diameters were provided, the depth tolerance was not stated, creating uncertainty for machining control and final mechanical performance. We confirmed both points directly with the customer through file updates. This allowed the team to establish appropriate fixturing methods that supported precise alignment during routing and to apply controlled depth parameters for the countersunk features, ensuring consistent profiles across the batch without risk of misalignment or structural compromise.

Once these details were aligned, production proceeded smoothly and the boards met all specifications. The focused resolution of the routing fixturing and countersink depth requirements enabled reliable execution on this single-sided construction with mechanical features.
