This 2-layer FR-4 board (414 × 405.7 mm, 1.6 mm finished thickness, KB-6165F material) was produced in a 1×6 panel arrangement for a total of 180 pieces (30 sets). The large-format panels used 1 oz copper, 6 mil minimum line/space, 0.3 mm minimum hole size, cold white solder mask, black legend, and lead-free HASL surface finish. Production included 100% flying probe testing, V-scoring combined with routing, mechanical forming, and IPC-6011 Class 3 requirements. The substantial panel size demanded careful handling to maintain dimensional stability throughout processing.

 

DFM review resolved several geometry and process concerns. SMD pads positioned very close to the board outline were adjusted to prevent copper exposure after routing. A 2.0 mm NPTH hole located on the outline and a 3.2 mm PTH hole without bottom solder mask window were confirmed for appropriate processing, noting potential ink ingress on the latter. Tight hole tolerances were addressed through confirmation of achievable controls. Character placement with insufficient spacing and a line feature in text areas required acceptance of some printing fuzziness. Production numbering and cycle markings were added to the bottom legend layer. Finger beveling was waived due to insufficient routing clearance and lack of requirement in the data.

 

All engineering questions received customer confirmation prior to production release. The order completed within the 16-day delivery window. Final electrical testing and quality documentation confirmed compliance with the specified parameters and Class 3 standards.
