MB10F Bridge Rectifier: Specs and Applications

Author : AIVON | PCB Manufacturing & Supply Chain Specialists March 03, 2026

MB10F is a bridge rectifier in an ultra-thin SMD package. Its construction comprises four diode chips in a compact 50 mil body. Key electrical parameters include a forward current of 1 A, a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000 V, a typical forward voltage of about 1.0 V, and a reverse recovery time of 500 ns. The package has four leads.

Surge current (Ifsm) is 35 A, typical leakage current is 5 uA, and the operating temperature range is -55 °C to +150 °C. Its ultra-thin, compact form factor makes it suitable for designs with strict size constraints.

Features

MB10F is an ultra-thin SMD bridge rectifier with the following technical advantages:

  • Compact size: The ultra-thin package is suitable for applications with limited PCB space.
  • Electrical performance: Stable electrical characteristics, including low forward voltage drop and low reverse leakage current.
  • Reliability: Laser marking for clear identification. The SMD design uses high-purity oxygen-free copper leads for good conductivity, and a thick plating layer to reduce risk of copper oxidation.

Limitations

  • Cost: Price may be higher compared with generic bridge rectifiers.
  • Application constraints: The ultra-thin design may not be compatible with all types of PCBs or enclosures; board layout, soldering profile, and mechanical support should be evaluated.

Application Notes

When used in a charger or power supply, the bridge rectifier's role is to convert mains AC to DC. The maximum usable output power for a charger depends on the overall circuit design, component ratings, thermal management, and safety margins, not solely on the rectifier. Designers should consider the MB10F's continuous forward current (1 A), surge current (35 A), voltage rating (1000 V), and thermal conditions when sizing the rectifier for a given power application.
