Perception Simulation Overview
A perception simulation system provides simulated sensor inputs for autonomous driving. Modeling of the perception simulation system is based on physical-level sensor models, faithfully reflecting wave propagation physics and the performance characteristics of the sensor's data-processing components. This approach reproduces measured data realistically under specific driving environments and road conditions. At the same time, common characteristics of different sensors in wave propagation and data processing must be taken into account.
Model Simplification and Reuse
Models can be simplified to meet the real-time requirements of simulation verification. Conversely, by adjusting characteristic parameters, the same model can simulate environmental perception sensors of different brands and models, increasing model reusability.
