Overview
The WIT TE Digital flinkey BLE module is designed for Mercedes as a smart actuator to operate vehicle keys with central locking functions. The module can be used with passenger, commercial, and transport vehicles. After the user is authenticated and a smartphone application sends the appropriate command over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the module locks or unlocks the vehicle.
System Description
During operation, the flinkey BLE receives protocol commands over BLE and performs the corresponding actions. Communication takes place between the flinkey BLE and the smartphone application via BLE. In addition to the motor and mechanical drive infrastructure, the module includes an NFC gateway that can act as an additional communication interface for reading NFC tokens. An RF sniffer is installed to detect radio signals emitted by activated vehicle keys. The overall solution can be integrated into existing systems via clearly defined interfaces (API).
