Overview
This reference design is a simple, wearable, multi-parameter patient monitor that uses the single-chip biosensing front-end AFE4900 for synchronous electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) measurements. A CC2640R2F device (supports BLE 4.2 and 5.0) transmits measured data to a remote location. The design runs on a single CR3032 battery and provides 30 days of battery life. Raw data is available for users to compute heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse transit time (PTT), and ECG. Two onboard light-emitting diodes (LEDs) indicate low battery and ECG lead detection.
