This single-layer FR-4 board measured 250 × 109 mm with 2.0 mm thickness, TG150 material, and asymmetric copper of 1 oz / 2 oz. Produced as 200 single pieces, the order used lead-free HASL surface finish, green solder mask on both sides, and white silkscreen. Minimum holes were 0.3 mm with standard 6 mil line/space. Open vias were specified, and the 17-day schedule included 100% AOI inspection. Customer data arrived in both Gerber and ODB formats.
DFM review resolved data-source and geometric issues. Gerber files were designated as the primary manufacturing reference. Although the original data contained double-sided copper, solder-mask, and silkscreen layers, the top copper, top solder mask, and bottom silkscreen layers were empty; the customer production drawing confirmed a single-sided construction. Slot holes positioned too close to the board edge risked breakout and sharp burrs after routing. A character string present on the customer production drawing was absent from the original files and required confirmation of inclusion. Customer dimensional requirements also differed from measured data, and the 2.0 mm thickness was specified without an explicit tolerance.
Confirmed single-sided interpretation, edge clearances, and marking decisions were implemented prior to production. The boards achieved consistent lead-free HASL coverage and clean edge quality within the planned timeline. Full electrical test reports and quality certificates accompanied the shipment, confirming the panels met the specified mechanical and electrical requirements.
