What files are required to place an PCB Assembly order?

Required Files for Assembly Production at AIVON

To ensure accurate and efficient PCB assembly, please provide the following files:

1. PCB File

Provide the Gerber file or equivalent PCB design file used for fabrication.

2. BOM (Bill of Materials)

● Supported formats: .xls, .xlsx, .csv

● Please use AIVON’s BOM Template as a reference to ensure all necessary details are included.

● The BOM should list component names, quantities, package types, and manufacturer part numbers clearly.

3. Silkscreen File

● A silkscreen file is required even if your PCB has no printed silkscreen layer.

● Clearly indicate component designators and polarity markings to avoid assembly errors.

● For polarity, ensure that components such as LEDs, ICs, diodes, and tantalum capacitors have distinct and visible polarity marks.

4. PNP (Pick and Place) File

● Supported formats: .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .txt, .pos

● Include the following information in your PNP file:

○ X-coordinate

○ Y-coordinate

○ Rotation angle

○ Designator

● Ensure all measurements are provided in millimeters (mm).

Providing complete and properly formatted files helps AIVON’s assembly engineers perform precise component placement and deliver high-quality assembly results efficiently.
