What information is required for impedance control in PCBs?

To ensure accurate impedance control for your PCB, please provide the following information in detail:

Required Information

  1. Impedance Type – Specify the type of impedance required (e.g., single-ended, differential).

  2. Trace Width / Spacing – Clearly indicate the desired trace width and spacing dimensions.

  3. Controlled Trace Location and Layer – Identify the exact layer(s) and location(s) of the controlled traces.

  4. Impedance Value and Tolerance – Provide the target impedance value along with the acceptable tolerance range.

  5. Reference Layer – Specify which reference layer should be used for impedance calculation.

Submission Format

For accuracy and clarity, please compile all the above details into one PDF file:

  • For single-ended impedance, mark the specific trace clearly.

  • For differential impedance, mark the two traces involved.

Providing this information enables AIVON’s engineering team to perform precise impedance calculations and deliver boards that meet your exact electrical requirements.
