Manufacturing Summary

This single-layer FR-4 board measured 20 × 96 mm at 1.6 mm thickness with 1 oz copper and OSP surface finish. The 10-piece order used white solder mask and black silkscreen, with 10 mil minimum line/space falling in conventional territory. Production employed customer self-panelization and V-scoring, with no impedance or special via requirements. Lead time was 11 days.

 

DFM analysis revealed several file discrepancies. The supplied gerber contained bottom-layer pads despite single-sided specification, which was clarified for top-layer only processing. Selected holes showed copper connection on one side requiring attribute confirmation to avoid unintended shorts. The data was panelized rather than single-piece as ordered, with outer dimensions defining the profile since V-scoring was not feasible on the provided layout. Process edges of 1 mm were present despite order notes, and two non-copper holes lacked proper clearance. Production serial numbering was added per request.

 

Adjustments were confirmed with the customer before fabrication, ensuring clean separation and electrical integrity through flying probe testing.
