Manufacturing Summary

This production run delivered 300 single-layer flex PCBs built on a 0.13 mm thick polyimide substrate using rolled copper for enhanced flex endurance. Each board measures 22.3 x 92.5 mm and incorporates strategically placed FR4 stiffeners to support component mounting while maintaining flexibility in the dynamic sections. The configuration included yellow soldermask, white silkscreen, and an immersion gold ENIG surface finish over the 1 oz copper. Minimum trace and spacing of 6 mil along with 0.3 mm holes followed standard flexible PCB geometries.

 

We exercised precise control throughout the polyimide material handling, circuit imaging, etching, and coverlay lamination to ensure dimensional stability and strong adhesion across the thin substrate. Dynamic flex testing was integrated into the quality protocol to confirm bending reliability, alongside batch AOI inspection and complete electrical testing that verified every board in the lot.

 

Completed within 8.2 days, this order resulted in a uniform batch of flexible PCBs that aligned precisely with the mechanical and electrical demands of the application, supporting dependable performance in the field.
