Manufacturing Summary

This order consisted of 15 pieces of 2-layer FR4 PCBs with 4 oz copper weight, measuring 330 x 115 mm and built on 1.6 mm thick material. The substantial copper thickness called for specialized processing, including thick copper electroplating and controlled copper etching, to accurately define the 10/10 mil track and spacing on this scale. These steps ensured the heavy copper features maintained integrity throughout fabrication of the single PCBs.

 

We selected appropriate base materials for the custom stackup before proceeding to circuit imaging. Matte green soldermask and white silkscreen were applied, followed by lead-free HASL surface finish using molten solder coating and hot air leveling. This combination supports robust performance in applications requiring high current carrying capacity.

 

Final electrical testing confirmed full functionality across all 15 boards. The manufacturing process was executed over 5.2 days, yielding consistent results that align with the customer's specifications for these heavy copper PCBs.
