Manufacturing Summary

We manufactured five 4-layer rigid-flex PCBs in panel format, each 100 by 106 mm and 1.6 mm thick, using 1 oz copper. The 5/5 mil track and spacing required careful circuit imaging and etching to ensure accuracy at the flex-rigid interfaces. Green soldermask completed the surface, paired with ENIG immersion gold for reliable plating.

 

Layer stack alignment and flex-rigid lamination formed the core of the build, supported by high pressure processes to integrate the flexible and rigid sections seamlessly. Controlled depth routing defined the final outlines, after which dynamic flex reliability testing confirmed the panels could handle repeated bending. Electrical testing validated all connections on the completed boards.

 

The 13-day production timeline for this small-quantity order permitted detailed attention to each process step, from material preparation through final inspection, resulting in consistent performance characteristics.
